Purpose

Our articles exist to explain how markets, instruments, and money decisions work. They are educational. They do not tell any reader what to buy, sell, or hold, and they do not predict prices.

How articles are written

Articles are researched and drafted with the help of AI writing tools and then edited for accuracy, clarity, and relevance to Indian readers. We tell you this because you should know how the content you rely on is made. Every article lists the regulator pages, exchange material, and research it draws on under "Sources and further reading", so you can check the claims yourself.

Sourcing standards

  • We prefer primary sources: SEBI, RBI, NSE, BSE, depositories, AMFI, and peer-reviewed research.
  • We don't invent statistics, quotes, studies, or people.
  • Figures that change over time — rules, rates, lot sizes, timings — are either dated ("as of") and sourced, or left out with a pointer to where the current figure is published.
  • We don't publish tax rates unless they come from an official source.

Independence

We don't accept payment for coverage, sponsored articles, or affiliate commissions on financial products. The site is funded by Google AdSense advertising, and advertisers have no influence over what we publish. Neither the site nor the people behind it are SEBI-registered investment advisers or research analysts.

Tools and data

Our calculators show their formulas and assumptions on the page. The screener, charts, and paper trading simulator use delayed, indicative third-party data described on our data sources page; they are for learning, not for placing real trades.

Dates

Each article shows the date it was first published. When we make a substantive change, we add an "Updated" date. We don't backdate content.

Corrections

If you spot an error, email contact@capitalmarketportfolio.com with the page link and what's wrong. We review every report, fix confirmed errors promptly, and update the article's date when the change is substantive.
